About Our Founder
Founder Taylor Ash is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter and vocalist.
Taylor graduated Summa Cum Laude from the esteemed Westminster Choir College, earning degrees in Music Theory, Composition, and Performance. During her studies, she worked alongside world-class ensembles including The Philadelphia Orchestra and The Vienna Philharmonic, and collaborated under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin, current Music Director of the Metropolitan Opera.
In early 2022, she released her debut full-length album, VIGNETTES—a genre-blending project that weaves film score, musical theater, and indie songwriting into an intimate narrative drawn from her own life. That same year, she placed in the Spitfire Scoring Competition, receiving critical acclaim from Kris Bowers, composer of Netflix’s Bridgerton and won first prize in the Taylor Made Songwriters Competition for her lyrical songwriting.
In 2023, Taylor returned to her roots in classical and cinematic composition through writing music inspired by literature. Her original theme songs for beloved fantasy series such as A Court of Thorns and Roses, Throne of Glass, Divine Rivals, Red Rising and others have garnered millions of streams and listeners on Spotify.
Taylor is the co-founder of Duology Music House, a composing collective she established alongside fellow composer Lindsay Dills. Built on the belief that music thrives through collaboration, Duology brings together complementary creative voices to craft bold, story-first scores for film, television, books and games.
Taylor is based in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA where she lives with her husband & daughter.
